I had a great long-term stay at this hotel while taking diving courses. The friendly staff and clean, simple accommodations made for a pleasant experience, although the bathrooms were in need of some renovation. The pool area was lovely and offered plenty of outdoor seating for relaxing. Overall, I felt it was a fantastic value for the price, but there were some issues with the bathroom and water on the island.

Rooms

The room was simple and cleaned daily, with a fan that kept it comfortably cool during my stay.

My stay at this resort was nice, but it had some drawbacks. The location is convenient for diving, but arriving was a hassle since no one picked us up from the ferry. The room had good air conditioning, but the mosquito issue was quite bothersome. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you're there mainly to dive and don’t mind the noise from dive students.

Rooms
6.0
The room was nice with effective air conditioning, but there were tons of mosquitoes, which made for an uncomfortable experience.
Service
5.0
The service started off on a disappointing note with the ferry pickup mishap, but after that, it was fine for what I needed.
Location
8.0
The resort is close to the main diving shops, which was very convenient, yet not too far from the noise of the island.
Dining
Facilities
6.0
While basic, the resort provided what I needed for my diving trip, though it lacked any extra luxury amenities.

Our stay at the resort was quite the mixed bag. The private rooms and pool area were definitely highlights, and it felt cozy in many ways. However, there were a few issues with organization and the dining prices were quite high, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a decent experience but had room for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The private rooms were clean and spacious, offering a nice retreat. However, the dorm rooms were very basic and not well organized.
Service
6.0
While the service was friendly, the disorganization was frustrating, especially with moving between different dorms and issues with the office hours.
Location
8.0
The resort is conveniently located, providing easy access to local dive shops and attractions.
Dining
5.0
We enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant, but found the prices to be on the expensive side, particularly for the area.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area is nice, with plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing after a day of diving.

I had a nice stay at the resort, especially enjoying the connection with the dive center. The room was clean and comfortable, but I did deal with quite a few mosquitoes. The dive center staff were helpful, though the hotel staff could use some improvement in organization. Overall, it's a decent choice, but be prepared for some noise and minor inconveniences.

Rooms
7.0
The room was nice and clean, with good air conditioning, but there were many mosquitoes, possibly due to a fan in the bathroom.
Service
5.0
The dive center staff were quite helpful, but the reception staff at the resort seemed disorganized.
Location
7.0
The resort is situated a bit off the main drag, so it was quieter, yet it was a longer walk to the dive center each day.
Dining
7.0
The restaurant offered good food, although it was on the pricier side. The two-for-one pizza night was a highlight.
Facilities
6.0
The resort had decent facilities, but the dorms would benefit from more storage space and better fan functionality.

Our stay at Mango Inn was a blend of positive and negative experiences. The location was well-suited for relaxing, especially after diving trips, and the gardens and pool area were lovely. The rooms were spacious but had some issues with maintenance, especially in the bathrooms. Although the staff was friendly in parts, the service overall left something to be desired, particularly during meals. However, if you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with a unique character, Mango Inn could be a good fit.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and generally clean, but the bathrooms needed maintenance and had noticeable stains.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss; while some staff members were pleasant, others were not so accommodating, affecting the overall experience.
Location
7.0
Mango Inn is located in a quiet area of Utila, which was great for relaxing but a bit far from the beach and bustling spots.
Dining
6.0
The restaurant offered nice dining options, especially the pizza, but some meals were delayed, causing frustration.
Facilities
8.0
The gardens and pool area were well-maintained and provided a nice place to unwind after a busy day.
